Dr Salie qualified as a dentist in 1998 at the University of the Western Cape. From 1998 -2004, Dr Salie was involved with the Clinical supervision and education of undergraduate dental students at the University of the Western Cape Oral Surgery department. Since 1998, he has managed and run several private practices and gained immense experience in all aspects of clinical dentistry. In addition to setting up various dental practices, he has also established several multi-disciplinary medi-centres .
Dr Salie’s passion for dentistry has evolved to incorporate the more modern aspects of computerized dentistry and having to continually improve with additional courses to keep abreast of the ever-changing dental world.
Dr Naazima Sayed is a qualified dentist having commenced her studies at the University of Stellenbosch school of Dentistry in 2003. She completed her BChD degree in 2007 at the University of the Western Cape after the merge of dental schools. She spent her postgraduate year working in Bloemfontein contributing towards healthcare in the surrounding rural areas in the Free state Province. She thoroughly enjoyed the surgical experience and the exposure to several different community health clinics.
She has since gained a wealth of experience working in private practice in both Gauteng and the Western Cape and offering services in all fields of dentistry. Dr Sayed furthered her training and completed a diploma in Aesthetic Dentistry at the University of the Western Cape and continues to expand her skills and knowledge. She is passionate about her profession and believes in the importance of holistic healthcare treatment while practicing dentistry. She is a meticulous and caring professional. She is also a loving wife, and mother of three children.
Dr Cindy Cornelius qualified in 2014 with the BChD dentistry degree at the University of the Western Cape and completed her community service year in 2015 at Upington dental clinic, Northern Cape. She is an avid gardener and enjoys swimming. She has since worked at several private practices and other clinics thus gaining considerable experience.
She now works at the emergency care department at the Tygerberg Oral Health Centre since 2020. She is currently studying a post graduate diploma in forensic dentistry at the University of the Western Cape, for which she has been granted a bursary. She is an enthusiastic, passionate and patient-orientated dentist. She loves learning more in the field of dentistry and looks forward to expanding her skill set in oral surgery. It is always a great pleasure for her to serve patients and to create smiles.
Dr. Liezl Claassens qualified as a dentist in 2005, at the University of Stellenbosch (which merged with and became the University of the Western Cape). She did her community service at the military base in Potchefstroom. She spent a couple of years working in Pretoria, where she is originally from. The beautiful city of Cape Town called her back and she has been working here since 2010.
Dr. Claassens is a diligent and conscientious dentist, with comprehensive experience in the diagnoses of dental problems and conditions. She has the ability to make patients feel extremely calm and relaxed. “There is nothing more gratifying than reassuring, explaining and putting a nervous patient at ease, putting their trust in me and accomplishing a dental procedure with a happy and pleased smile from them afterwards.”
She has a love and interest for forensic dentistry and finished her Masters Degree in forensics in 2017. She also has an interest in aesthetics, not only in dental aesthetics, but also including facial aesthetics . She did a Botox and Filler diploma qualification in 2018.
In addition to finding her behind the dental chair or inside a mortuary, you might find her under the sea scuba diving but most likely very high in the air, as she is a qualified paragliding pilot. Nothing makes her happier than the total freedom and peace that flying in the sky allows.
Dr Leroy Africa qualified at the University of the Western Cape in 2010 with BChD degree. He completed his community service in a town called Middledriftin the Eastern Cape.
Dr Africa has been in private practice since 2012 both as associate dentist at Santana Dental Surgery as well as operating his own private dental practice LA dental studio located in Eagle Park. Dr Africa is passionate about dentistry and loves changing lives one smile at a time.
In his spare time, you will find Dr Africa on the soccer field or making music whether by playing an instrument or singing with friends.

Tylor Thebus qualified as oral hygienist in 2018 from the University of the Western Cape. She has been working in private practice since 2019. She enjoys interacting with her patients one on one and strongly believes prevention is better than cure. She is passionate about helping her patients achieve optimal oral health.

Samantha Cupido qualified as an oral hygienist at the University of the Western Cape in 2003. She also did extended function course which further enhanced her skill levels. She has been in private practice since 2004 and remains passionate about what she does.

Quanita Barmania qualified as oral hygienist at the University of the Western Cape in 2001 and joined Santana Dental in 2013.
She is passionate about helping her patients understand the role oral health plays in general overall health and wellbeing.
Quanita loves hiking and exploring the many beautiful trails in and around Cape Town and her guilty pleasure is binge-watching K- dramas.
